Club World Cup is over, América returns to Mexico with fourth place

América finished in fourth place in the Club World Cup, it was not an easy match against the champion of the Copa Libertadores, in fact it seemed that the azulcrema team would win without major problems, but the courage of the azulcrema team emerged to come from behind and draw a game they were losing by two goals; it took them to penalties and there they lacked effectiveness.

Atlético Nacional obtained third place by defeating América 4-3 on penalties, after regular time ended in a 2-2 draw.

América came out with the idea of assuming protagonism, with some modifications due to injuries, they sought to have the ball, press the Colombians, but they quickly fell behind, a through ball for Orlando Berrio broke the defensive line of the Águilas, and Samudio arrived before the Colombian forward, but the shot from the Paraguayan went into the back of Muñoz's goal.
