Former Danish Football Player Michael Laudrup to Face Al Sadd in the League

Danish ex-footballer Michael Laudrup, who was a prominent player in Real Madrid and Barcelona and is now the coach of Al Rayyan, one of the most historic clubs in the United Arab Emirates, will face Al Sadd, captained by former Barcelona player Xavi Hernandez, tomorrow (Wednesday).

This is Laudrup's first derby in the Qatari league.

"Derbies or matches against big rivals are always important for the club and the fans, as well as for the players and coaches," said Michael Laudrup.

In addition, the current coach added, "I have been fortunate to play and coach in big derbies like El Clásico, Juventus against Torino, the derby in Copenhagen, and Ajax against Feyenoord. These are matches that excite you as a coach and a player, and you want to do something special for the fans."

The 52-year-old coach led Qatari club Lekhwiya during the 2014/2015 season, where he won the championship.
