Tribute to Chapecoense
On Wednesday night, thousands of people crowded the Atanasio Girardot stadium in Medellin, Colombia to pay posthumous tribute to the Chapecoense club, whose team died on Tuesday in an airplane accident.
71 doves were released, representing the same number of people who died in the tragedy.
The attendees at Girardot wore white clothes, with lit candles, and observed a minute of silence.
The horn was played amid tears, and people shouted: "Let's go, let's go Chape". "We are with you, Chape". "We are all Chapecoense".
In addition, the players of Atletico Nacional entered the field wearing black uniforms, each carrying a bouquet of flowers.
