Last minutes of the Copa MX final

There were some unfortunate moments during the last minutes of the Copa MX final that left Chelo Ángel Zaldívar in a bad position.

He collided with Jaime Gómez and the Guadalajara native got the worst of it. After analyzing the Chivas forward, it was revealed that he has a fractured nose and will have to undergo surgery. Initial diagnoses indicate that he will be out for two weeks. He will not participate this weekend against León's Esmeraldas and then there will be an international break which will help him recover. It remains to be seen if he will be able to play in the last match against Necaxa's Rayos.

Chelo Zaldívar has been a key player for Chivas this semester, being a favorite of coach Almeyda. Now, the manager will have to implement some changes for Saturday's game against the greens.

Without Zaldívar, Chivas' attack will have Alan Pulido as a starter, alongside Marco Bueno, who has secured his position in the last few matches. Once again, injuries are causing headaches for Almeyda. In theory, Matías wanted to have Zaldívar and Pulido playing together, but they haven't been able to. Instead, Bueno has taken advantage of the opportunities and has already scored two goals in the current tournament.

Zaldívar will undergo nose surgery on Friday morning at the hospital where Chivas players are treated. The severity of the fracture and the time needed for recovery will be known in the coming days.

Jesús Sánchez will also be out due to a thigh injury, forcing the coach to improvise. He can choose between Miguel Basulto or Oswaldo Alanís, although neither of them is a natural full-back. Another option is to use Miguel Ángel Ponce, who can play on the opposite side. These are the problems that Chivas has on the right side, as no one matches the level of the "Chapo," who has become indispensable in the back four under Almeyda.
