Estudiantes de La Plata won in the last minutes against Racing Club de Avellaneda 2-1, consolidating itself as the leader of Argentine soccer in the eighth round.
The goals for Estudiantes were scored by Lucas Viatri and Javier Toledo, while Marcos Acuña scored for Racing.
With this victory, Estudiantes has 22 points and is five points ahead of its follower Newell's Old Boys, a team from the city of Rosario, which will face San Lorenzo de Almagro this Sunday.
Boca Juniors, on the other hand, is third in the table with 15 points, after defeating Temperley 4-0 with goals from Gino Peruzzi, Cristian Pavón, Walter Bou, and Gastón Aguirre.
Independiente de Avellaneda also has 15 points after drawing 0-0 with Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata.
