Technicians who would die to coach América

For coaches like Carlos Reinoso or Daniel Brailovsky, returning to América is more of a far-fetched dream than a reality.

For coaches like Carlos Reinoso or Daniel Brailovsky, returning to América is more of a far-fetched dream than a reality.

Ignacio Ambriz's departure as coach of América has begun to produce serious contenders to lead the team; names like Marcelo Bielsa, Javier Aguirre or Raúl Gutiérrez are rumored to lift the team in its centennial year.

But there are also other strategists who, because of their past as América members, would not hesitate to sign a contract that would put them, in some cases, back in charge of the capital team.

CARLOS REINOSO

The 'Maestro' has proclaimed himself on multiple occasions as the "greatest América fan in the world", few forget his ear-to-ear smile in what was his last presentation with the team of his love, so he would not think twice about returning to the team.

PROS

Bringing Carlos would not be as outlandish as it might seem to some, just remember what he did in the 83-84 season, where he led the club to win the League title.

CONS

Reinoso is not exactly the coach that the team needs right now, as he had almost the same number of ups and downs with Veracruz, a team he is still linked to, as Ambriz had with América.

HUGO SÁNCHEZ

The Pentapichichi is in love with Pumas de la UNAM, but he does not forget his short past in the blue and cream jersey, and moreover, it would be a position that would suit a coach who seeks great challenges; coaching Real Madrid is just an example of the caliber he seeks in teams.

PROS

Leading this institution would be good because with Pumas, he has the great merit of having made them bicampeon with a squad limited compared to the standards that have always been handled in Coapa, so in the Azteca's bench, he would have more material to create a highly competitive team.

CONS

His past and success in Pumas would be precisely what would distance him from any possibility, at least in terms of connection with the stands, who would hardly accept him as being intimately linked to one of their most hated rivals.

DANIEL BRAILOVSKY

A true América legend who was forced to leave the club prematurely, where as a player, he wasted an enviable talent. The sports analyst would also be willing to hang up the microphones to return to the field as a coach.

PROS

The 'Ruso' has a strong personality, which would be very useful to lift the spirits of the players at this moment.

In addition, in his only intervention as an América coach, he led them to the crown of the Interliga Tournament 2008.

CONS

Despite the Interliga achieved, Brailovsky's time in Las Águilas left much to be desired, the Argentinean could never consolidate a leading team and ended up leaving with a bad reputation on the line; his coaching experience in Mexico is summarized only with Veracruz, América and Necaxa, so he would need more experience to lift the team.

ANTONIO CARLOS SANTOS

Another great reference of América who would give everything to have his first experience as a coach. A harsh critic of the team's poor performances who would gladly contribute his experience as a player in this Centennial.

PROS

Carlos Santos only has the benefit of the doubt, he could be, perhaps, the coach who has not been seen in the team since Miguel Herrera's tenure.

CONS

Giving the team's helm to someone with no experience would be very risky at any time, but doing it in the year when they need to crown the campaign with a title would be almost suicide. For now, the Brazilian doesn't have much to contribute to the team other than his memories as a great player.
