Inter Milan striker Marko Arnautovic is happy to be back in his native Austria for tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Red Bull Salzburg.
The 34-year-old spoke in a press conference ahead of tomorrow’s match, as reported by FCInterNews.
Inter are currently in Salzburg to face Austrian champions Salzburg.
The Nerazzurri had already beaten the Austrian 2-1 at the San Siro a couple weeks ago. But this time around Inter will have an even tougher task, playing on Salzburg’s away turf.
One player who’s in Inter’s squad for tomorrow’s match is striker Arnautovic.
The former West Ham United, Stoke City, and Bologna man is back from injury.
And Arnautovic returns to the team just in time to play in his native Austria.
Naturally, this is the source of a lot of emotions for Arnautovic.

“This is a match with a lot of emotions for me,” Arnautovic said.
“But we’re here to win.”
“Before and after the match, we’ll all be friends,” the striker added. “But when we’re out on the pitch we’ll give everything to win.”
Arnautovic noted that “Salzburg are a very good side. They’re a young team with a good coach.”
“But we’re here to win,” he made clear.
Of his injury layoff, Arnautovic said “Six weeks out wasn’t easy. I’m not used to it.”
“I wasn’t with the team,” he looked back. “But now I’m back and I have a great desire to help everyone out.”
As far as whether he thinks he’s part of the starting attacking rotation at Inter now that he’s fit, Arnautovic said that “That’s a question for the coach.”
“If he decides to put me on the pitch, then I’ll do my best to help the team,” he added.
Arnautovic noted that “We have a very strong attack with Marcus, Lauti, and El Nino (Alexis Sanchez). And then whoever plays, deserves to.”
