Cristiano Ronaldo Condemned in Iran for Adultery: Contact Without Being a Couple

Prior to the continental commitment, Cristiano Ronaldo visited Fátima Hamami, an Iranian painter who is a confessed fan of the Portuguese player, and asked to be visited by him. The woman gave him a painting with images of the same football player celebrating a goal. However, the 'Beast' was not aware that his next action would cause an unexpected uproar.

And the fact is that Cristiano Ronaldo hugged and kissed the woman on the cheek, which in Iran is considered adultery because it is contact without being a couple. Therefore, according to the Sharq Emraz network, the former Real Madrid player was sentenced to receive 99 lashes after dozens of complaints from lawyers.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo Receive the Lashes?

If the lawsuit were true, Cristiano Ronaldo is currently in Saudi Arabia and the justice system does not reach him there, although he should receive the lashes if he returns to Iran. In that regard, the Portuguese forward no longer needs to return to Iranian territory for the group stage of the Asian Champions League, since he has already visited Persépolis. However, in the final stages of the competition, he could confront another club from that country.

Nevertheless, despite all the speculation, to the relief of the 'Beast' and his millions of followers, the Iranian embassy in Spain denied that he will be condemned, and even stated that they are extremely pleased that a world-class athlete has visited their nation.

"We categorically deny the issuance of any judicial ruling against any international athlete in Iran. It is cause for concern that the publication of such unfounded news may overshadow the crimes against humanity and war crimes against the oppressed Palestinian nation. It should be noted that Cristiano Ronaldo traveled to Iran on September 18 and 19 to play in an official football match and was very well received by the people and authorities. His sincere and human encounter with Fatemeh Hamami was also praised and admired both by the people and by the sports authorities of the country," they stated.
