University of Chile and Colo Colo drew 1-1 this Saturday in an intense superclasico that did not change the history and extended the winless streak of Universidad de Chile against their arch-rivals to 10 years. The match was part of the 23rd round of the Chilean championship. The hosts tried everything to overcome their current sporting crisis but ended up with their seventh consecutive winless game. This draw represents the 57th draw in the history of the 194 superclasicos played so far. The last time Universidad de Chile won a superclasico was on May 5, 2013, in a 3-2 victory. On the other hand, Colo Colo missed out on important points in their pursuit of the leader Cobresal. They temporarily climbed to the third position in the standings with 35 points, pending the completion of the round, as Cobresal is set to face Coquimbo Unido on Sunday.
