Ángeles Béjar, the mother of Luis Rubiales, temporarily suspended as the president of the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF) by FIFA, has ended her confinement and hunger strike that she initiated to demand justice for her son, after being transferred to a hospital yesterday and being discharged hours later.

This has been indicated by the parish priest of the Church of the Divine Pastoral, where Ángeles Béjar held the protest for two and a half days.

Béjar had planned to hold a press conference before being hospitalized when she presented a physical problem, so fifteen minutes later, the priest revealed "the worst possible news", as she could not attend "due to a crisis caused by the chronic disease she suffers"

Ángeles Bejar, whose whereabouts have not been disclosed, is recovering favorably after responding successfully to the treatment she received at Santa Ana Hospital in Motril where she was transferred.

Rubiales' mother had significant swelling in her legs, which could have been caused by fluid retention, as well as vomiting, dizziness, distress, and severe physical discomfort, which prompted the doctor who treated her at the church where she was in confinement to recommend her transfer to the medical center.

Luis Rubiales' mother left the emergency department of the hospital after 11:30 PM in Spain on Wednesday accompanied by her son.

Luis Rubiales was temporarily suspended as the president of the Real Federación Española de Futbol by FIFA for kissing player Jenni Hermoso on the mouth during the medal ceremony and for touching his genitals during the celebration of the title achieved by the Spanish Women's National Team in the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

On Friday at 7:00 PM, a gathering has been called in the Aurora square of Motril (Granada) by different social and women's associations in Granada in support of player Jenni Hermoso.
