Spain and Czech Republic clash in Eurocup
Spain and Czech Republic played this morning the second match of Group D in the framework of the first date of the Eurocup France 2016. The match took place at the Municipal Stadium of Toulouse with Gerard Piqué as the main protagonist.
And it's because the team led by Vicente Del Bosque dominated ball possession, but failed to convert the goal opportunities it had against goalkeeper Petr Cech. Until minute 87.
In that minute, the Spanish team advanced in search of the first goal against the Czech Republic. The ball first went through the side Juanfran, who dodged an opponent and sent a left-footed cross.
Pedro found the ball, but unable to face the goal, he passed it to Andrés Iniesta. The Barcelona midfielder sent a perfect pass to his teammate in the blue and garnet team, who then scored the winning goal for 'La Roja'.
Gerard Piqué's goal was the first for the Spanish National Football Team in the Eurocup France 2016. On June 17th, they will play against Turkey, led by Arda Turan, who lost in the debut against Croatia.
