The reigning champion Spain achieved a last-minute 1-0 victory against Czech Republic on Monday in Toulouse, in the first match of Group D in the Euro 2016 France.

The team led by Vicente del Bosque took all three points thanks to a header goal from central defender Gerard Piqué (87').

With this victory, Spain shares the top spot in the group with Croatia, who opened the group with a 1-0 victory against Turkey at Parc des Princes in Paris.
