The coach, who was once an assistant to Marcelo Bielsa during the 2002 World Cup in Japan and Korea, will be on the 'Tico' bench during the friendly matches in September. It is worth mentioning that they do not have confirmed opponents yet.
Let's remember that Vivas has a past in Peruvian football with clubs like Sporting Cristal and Cusco FC. In the Rimense team, the coach born in Rosario left a very good impression.
The Argentine coach was honest in pointing out that he will only coach these two matches: "I take it in a very good way. It must be made clear that it is only for these two friendly matches of the FIFA date, but I definitely take it very professionally. From the Sports Directorship, we understood that it was necessary to face these commitments," he said.
"From the moment the decision was made with Professor Luis Fernando Suarez, I started working on the possibilities of players not only from the local scene but also internationally. I formed a list and from there we started monitoring from July 15 onwards. There is already some progress," he concluded.
Let's remember that the FIFA date will be from September 4 to 12. Details of the matches, as well as the list of selected players, will be revealed in the coming days.
