Messi leads Inter Miami to victory over Orlando City

With two goals from Lionel Messi, Inter Miami defeated Orlando City 3-1 in the Leagues Cup, eliminating Pedro Gallese and Wilder Cartagena's team from the competition. Both players from the Peruvian National Team started the match and played the full 90 minutes.

The opening goal came just seven minutes into the game, when Messi received a perfect cross from Robert Taylor, controlled the ball with his chest, and then fired a close-range shot, leaving no chance for the national goalkeeper.

However, the joy was short-lived for the pink team, as Uruguayan César Araújo took advantage of a rebound after a corner kick to shoot across and beat American goalkeeper Drake Callender.

In the second half, Josef Martínez made it 2-1 from a penalty, and Lionel Messi scored again to secure the 3-1 victory. Inter Miami will now face Dallas FC in the next round of the tournament.
