What is the amount of the 2023 doubled Winter Bonus?
With the increase of the Winter Bonus, beneficiaries who received 70,000 pesos in the past month of May, will receive an additional 60,000 pesos in the month of June, an important complement that will benefit millions of Chileans once the bill is approved in Congress. Remember that the exact amount of the Winter Bonus in May was 74,767 pesos and it was given to 1.6 million people in Chilean territory.
What did Gabriel Boric say about the 2023 Winter Bonus?
On June 1st, the President of Chile gave his second Public Account, where he detailed that the Winter Bonus was going to undergo a significant increase in relation to the amount that was given in May: "I trust that this project will be processed quickly by Congress and I believe that no one could oppose something of these characteristics, which directly helps the elderly", stated Boric.
When is the Winter Bonus given? Payment dates
It should be noted that, if this bill is approved, the additional Winter Bonus will be paid together with the pension payment date. This will happen only once by canceling the May 2023 retirement. However, the complement to reach 120,000 pesos will be provided in June to all beneficiaries as there is no confirmed date yet.

You must visit the official website of https://www.chileatiende.gob.cl/, enter your RUT data and check if you are one of the beneficiaries who will receive more than 130,000 Chilean pesos for the month of June.
Who are the beneficiaries of the 2023 Winter Bonus?
- Pensioners of the Social Security Institute, the Labor Insurance Institute, the Pension Funds and the Employer Mutual Funds of Law No. 16,744, whose pensions are equal to or less than the minimum old-age pension value of Article 26 of Law No. 15,386, for pensioners aged 75 or older, on the benefit payment date.
- Pensioners of the system established in Decree Law No. 3,500, of 1980, who are receiving minimum pensions with state guarantee, in accordance with Title VII of said legislation.
- Pensioners of the system established in the aforementioned decree law who are receiving a solidarity pension contribution, whose pensions are equal to or less than the minimum old-age pension value of Article 26 of Law No. 15,386, for pensioners aged 75 or older, on the benefit payment date.
- Beneficiaries of the universal guaranteed pension, provided they are not entitled to another pension in any pre-retirement regime.
- Pensioners of any pre-retirement regime who, additionally, are receiving a universal guaranteed pension and whose pensions are equal to or less than the minimum old-age pension value of Article 26 of Law No. 15,386, for pensioners aged 75 or older, on the benefit payment date.
