Ramón Díaz spoke after the defeat against Urawa Red Diamonds with an own goal from André Carrillo
The coach of Al-Hilal, the Argentine Ramón Díaz, did not want to blame the tight schedule in which his club has been immersed, in the defeat of his team in the final of the Asian Champions League against Urawa Red Diamonds from Japan.
"This is normal when you are at Al-Hilal," said the Rio Platean coach, whose club has been linked to a hypothetical signing of Lionel Messi.
" It was a difficult match and we have played many tough matches in a short period of time, but that's our destiny. We can't do anything about it," added Díaz.
André Carrillo's own goal
The Japanese team Urawa Red Diamonds won the Asian Champions League by defeating the reigning champions Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia in Saitama with a score of 1-0 in the second leg, after a draw in the first leg (1-1) in Riyadh.
An own goal from André Carrillo at the beginning of the second half (minute 48) gave Urawa their third title of the Asian competition, in front of nearly 55,000 fans in Saitama, north of Tokyo, to win with an overall score of 2-1.
The decisive moment of the match came with a free kick from Urawa's Norwegian defender, Marius Hoibraten, which was deflected into the net with his head by 'Culebra'.
