On February 23, in a match between PSV and Sevilla for the Europa League Round of 16, a fan of the Dutch club jumped onto the field and attacked the 'blanquirrojo' goalkeeper Marko Dimitrovic. After the incident, the institution guaranteed severe punishment for the fan.
After a month of proceedings, PSV, through a statement, officially announced the punishment. From now on, the individual will be banned from Philips Stadion for forty years. Additionally, the Dutch club could receive a fine from UEFA.
"The club will initiate a procedure to recover the damages suffered by the club. For entering the field, the young man is currently serving a three-month prison sentence, one of which is suspended. Additionally, the Public Prosecutor has also imposed a two-year ban in the area around Philips Stadion," the club said.
