Por la defensa del título
Sevilla faces Shakhtar Donetsk this Thursday (2:05 p.m. on ESPN) for a spot in the Europa League final. The Spanish club managed to draw 2-2 a week ago in Ukraine. Now, with the support of the fans, they look to win their third consecutive cup.
Sevilla has won the tournament every time they reached the final (2006, 2007, 2014 and 2015). But Shakhtar Donetsk trusts its potential as an away team.
Shakhtar Donetsk arrives at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium with an impressive performance, winning five out of their seven games and only drawing two, the last one against Sevilla.
The match is expected to be very competitive, just like the first leg, and in a stadium that will be filled with only Sevilla fans - it was announced last Wednesday that all tickets are sold out - as Shakhtar Donetsk returned the four hundred tickets they initially requested for their supporters.
Shakhtar Donetsk puts all their hopes in the counterattack and one of their players, Argentine forward Facundo Ferreyra, has stated that they must play as they did "in the first half (of the first leg) on the counterattack, which is a style that troubles Sevilla."
