"If someone attacks me, I will defend myself," said the goalkeeper of Sevilla after the violent incident that occurred during the game.

"If someone attacks me, I will defend myself," said the Sevilla goalkeeper after the violent incident during the match.

A new video of the incident between Serbian player Marko Dmitrovic and a PSV fan, who jumped onto the field of Philips Stadion to attack the Sevilla goalkeeper, has appeared on social media.

In the final minutes of the Europa League match, the local fan ran onto the field to hit the goalkeeper, who managed to hold onto the fan until stadium security arrived.

"A fan pushed me from behind. I imagine he was angry about his team's result, maybe a little crazy or drunk. I stopped him until security arrived. I was angry, but these things shouldn't happen, and I hope they are punished," said the goalkeeper after the match.

"I'm going to keep quiet and not say what I really wanted to do to him. Fortunately, I'm glad I was aware of where I was and managed to subdue him. If someone attacks me, I will defend myself. PSV is a great club, and they will surely punish him," concluded Dmitrovic.

Sevilla's qualification
Sevilla advanced to the round of 16 of the Europa League, despite losing 2-0 to PSV Eindhoven in the second leg of the playoff round of the continental tournament.

The Andalusian team secured their place in the next phase of the Europa League thanks to their 3-0 victory in the first leg, although the goals from Luuk de Jong (77) and Fabio Silva (90+5) gave them a scare.

The Andalusian team overcame the pressure at Philips Stadion to continue their path in their favorite competition, which they have won six times, the first of which was in this same venue in 2006 against English side Middlesbrough when it was still called the UEFA Cup.
