Former Sporting Cristal player Norberto Araujo diagnosed with diplopia

Norberto Araujo, currently playing for LDU in Ecuador, has been diagnosed with diplopia, a condition that causes double vision in people. 'Beto' revealed this himself.

"I woke up one morning and had it all day. I've been like this for fifteen days now. I'm currently undergoing treatment. To be honest, I don't know much about the condition. It could be due to a blow or a header," said Norberto Araujo on a radio program in Ecuador.

However, Norberto Araujo remains confident in his recovery. He clarified that although he has the condition, he only experiences dizziness. "It's not like I'm going to quit football. The doctor told me that just as it appeared, it can also disappear," he pointed out.

The Argentine player, who also has Ecuadorian nationality, has received words of encouragement from his teammates and friends in football, for which he is grateful. "I have never received so many messages," he said.

Sporting Cristal had 'Beto' Araujo in their ranks for three seasons (2003-2006). In addition to being a defensive midfielder, he also played as a central defender. He formed a partnership with Alberto Rodríguez, who returned to Rímac last year.
