Marcelo, Brazilian left back for Real Madrid, regrets wasted opportunities in the 2-0 loss in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals against Wolfsburg, and focusing on the return leg he assured that they will "give everything at the Bernabéu to come back".
"We knew it was a very difficult match. We had chances and we made some mistakes, but we have the opportunity to play 90 minutes at the Bernabéu and we will give everything to come back", he said.
Marcelo did not protest the penalty called against his compatriot Casemiro and the one not called on Gareth Bale, and he tried to send a message of hope to the fans.
"At first it wasn't how we wanted it to be. They had more ball possession but we still had chances. We will have them at the Bernabéu, we will fight until the end to come back", Marcelo said.
"I ask that they trust us. It was a bad match in my opinion but we will not give up, we have an opportunity and we will give everything to come back", he added.
