Saúl Álvarez, globally known as 'Canelo', became a trend for his harsh words towards Lionel Messi after a video in which, apparently, he kicked the Mexican team's shirt after Argentina's victory in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

"You don't even know the person, nor do you understand how a locker room works or what happens after a game. All the shirts, even the ones we use ourselves, go to the ground and are washed afterwards. Especially when you celebrate an important victory," he expressed.

The boxer had harsh words against the current PSG footballer; he even threatened him. "Did you see Messi wiping the floor with our shirt and flag? (...). He better pray to God that I don't run into him," he stated.
