And it was in the final minutes when the goalkeeper left a loose ball, unaware that Iñaki Williams was behind him to steal it.
Fortunately for the goalkeeper, the Ghanaian forward slipped, allowing Portugal's defense to recover the ball and avoid a 3-3 draw in the final stretch of the match.
Cristiano Ronaldo addresses Diogo Costa
One of the images caught by the cameras was when Cristiano Ronaldo addressed his goalkeeper. The conversation seemed to be a complaint from "CR7" to his teammate, but the forward's phrases to Diogo Costa were revealed.
"Smile, we won. It didn't end in a goal, so what? You have to smile, we won, man... A victory and we advance. You can smile, man... Let's go!", Cristiano Ronaldo said to Diogo Costa, who looked down for almost conceding a goal against Ghana.
