The Portugal national team makes its debut in the Qatar 2022 World Cup this Thursday, facing Ghana in the first match of Group H. Cristiano Ronaldo is the main protagonist of the match and had a great gesture before the initial whistle: he greeted the children who accompanied the team for the protocol ceremony.
The Stadium 974 in Doha was filled with a large number of fans in the stands and the official appearance of the footballers was expected, who had already set foot on the grass during the warm-up stage. Finally, with only a few minutes left, the teams started coming out of the tunnel of the sports venue.
In the same area were the children who would accompany the teams onto the field, as part of the protocol activity. Cristiano Ronaldo led the line of the Portugal national team, wearing the captain's armband, and noticed the great excitement of the little ones.
Without thinking twice, 'CR7' approached each of the infants and shook their hands, even those who were going to be with the Ghana squad. The experienced striker, who was recently left out of Manchester United after his controversial words against the club, is trying to focus fully on his participation in the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
