The football decline of the Chilean national team has been evident for a few years now, and it has been reflected in the failed attempts to qualify for the last two World Cups (Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022). Currently, the 'Roja' has six consecutive matches without a win, and Alexis Sanchez, one of the team's leaders, explained the reason for the crisis.

The performance of the experienced 33-year-old forward in the friendly match against Morocco was not very brilliant, although he managed to cause danger with two assists. However, the chances created were not decisive during the match, and Eduardo Berizzo's team lost 2-0.
At the end of the match, Alexis Sanchez was critical of his team and made harsh comments. "I would have liked to receive a play as well, to be given a goal pass to finish an offensive action, and not always provide them myself," said the Marseille striker to the press.
Immediately, the 'Wonder Boy' highlighted the qualities that their team requires. "It is clear that there was a lack of connection, going out to press all together, sometimes we arrived late and that affected the team. If you arrive late, then you end up one-on-one in marking," he emphasized.
"We must take both positive and negative things. They were more intense than us, but we have new players who made their debut today. We must understand that most rivals play in Europe. Chile must focus on continuing to grow, we must regain the intensity we once had with Marcelo Bielsa. We must improve, it is not enough, we must continue day by day and train," he concluded.
What was the last match that Chile won?
The last time the Chilean national team achieved a victory was on February 1st, in the 3-2 win over Bolivia, away from home, in matchday 16 of the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers. On that occasion, Alexis Sanchez scored a brace and Marcelino Nunez scored the remaining goal at the Hernando Siles Stadium in La Paz. After that, there were defeats against Brazil (4-0), Uruguay (0-2), South Korea (2-0), Tunisia (0-2), Ghana (3-1 on penalties), and Morocco (2-0).
