Erick Pulgar, sexual assault: Chilean Police arrive at the Chilean selector's house to proceed with questioning.

Erick Antonio Pulgar Farfán is back in the spotlight. This time, not for a great performance with Fiorentina or La Roja, but for a case of sexual assault in which he has been involved. The events occurred last weekend at the footballer's house in Calera de Tango, according to the complaint filed by a 24-year-old woman. As expected, the Antofagasta-born player has been interviewed by the Chilean Police in the early hours of Wednesday.

As La Tercera of Chile reports, the police arrived at Pulgar's home to take his statement regarding the case of sexual assault that allegedly occurred on Saturday at a party organized by the two-time Copa America champion with 20 people in his house. People in the player's circle have denied any responsibility.

Even the people who were at Erick Pulgar's gathering claim that there are cameras inside the former Galatasaray player's residence that can prove he had no involvement in the sexual crime reported by the 24-year-old woman, whose identity has not been revealed by the authorities.

According to the victim's account, she was at a bar in the Las Condes district where she lost consciousness and was transported by at least ten people to Pulgar's home where the party was taking place. At the event, the woman mentioned that there were footballers involved, including one from La Roja.

"The Vitacura police received a complaint from a woman who claims to have been a victim of a sexual assault over the weekend at a residence located in the southern zone of the capital," said Marcelo Ruíz, captain of the Carabineros, to local media.

"Specialized personnel are conducting investigations in order to locate the perpetrator(s) of this incident and present the evidence to the Public Prosecutor's Office," added the authority.
