The name of the Chilean footballer Erick Pulgar is in the eye of the storm after being involved in the complaint made by a 24-year-old woman, who accused him of sexually assaulting her on a property in Calera de Tango, Metropolitan Region (Chile), which belongs to the Chilean national team.

The alleged victim reported that she was in a venue in the commune of Las Condes when she lost consciousness and was taken by a group of at least 10 people to the southern area. She mentioned that the Chilean national team player Erick Pulgar and other footballers were among them.

It should be noted that the incident allegedly occurred at a party organized by the player in his home, attended by about 20 people close to him. It was also reported that the house has security cameras, which could help clarify the incident.
On the other hand, Captain Marcelo Ruiz of the Carabineros stated that the Vitacura police received a complaint from a woman who claimed to have been a victim of sexual assault over the weekend at a residence located in the southern area of the capital.
"Specialized personnel are carrying out investigations in order to locate the perpetrator(s) of this act and submit the evidence to the Public Prosecutor's Office," Ruiz emphasized.
Currently, the case is in its early stages of investigation and as far as is known, there have been no arrests in connection with the case.
