Lionel Messi took a break from his vacations and traveled to Barcelona with his wife Antonella Rocuzzo to inaugurate the SJD Pediatric Cancer Center, a children's oncology center that he helped build with his foundation.
The PSG forward indicated, in a long text on his social media, that he was very excited to see the completion of the works to treat children with childhood cancer in the European country.
“I was really looking forward to visiting it. It was really exciting to see this afternoon how everything turned out now that the works are finished," Messi expressed on Instagram.

"I wanted to congratulate everyone who worked on this project. I am very happy to have been able to contribute my grain of sand and I would also like to thank all the people who joined to help in the fight against childhood cancer," he concluded.

One of the most important hospitals in Europe
This children's center is unique in the Iberian country and will become one of the most important in Europe. It will also be part of the Sant Joan de Deú Hospital organization.
