Rutgers enters its semifinal against Cornell as the -180 money line favorite, while Cornell is a +140 underdog. A $10 wager on Cornell to pull off a slight upset would return $14 of profit if they win. The total is 24.5, and both the over and under have odds of -120.

Rutgers comes into its semifinal matchup with a 15-3 record on the season, and they suffered losses to Princeton and Maryland twice. Luckily, those teams will battle in the other semifinal, and Rutgers faces Cornell. Cornell enters the semifinal with a 13-4 record after picking up losses to Penn, Army, Brown and Yale. They are making their 14th appearance in the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Final Four.
Rutgers was able to get the victory against the University of Pennsylvania, as the teams were knotted at six goals a piece entering the fourth quarter. The defeat of No. 3 Penn tied the program’s highest-ranked win, and it will be the first Final Four in men’s lacrosse for Rutgers. Although they will be happy that they made it this far, they will not be satisfied with just a Final Four appearance and will make things tough on this Cornell program.
Cornell enters the game after taking out Delaware 10-8 in the quarterfinals. The teams were tied at 7-7 entering the fourth quarter, but Cornell’s Michael Long scored the go-ahead goal before taking a 10-7 lead and cruising to victory. The defense for the Big Red has been outstanding in this tournament run, and they have held opponents to single-digit scoring in two straight tournament matches.

Saturday will mark Rutgers’ third consecutive tournament game against an Ivy League opponent. However, Cornell’s John Piatelli may be the most talented attacker Rutgers will see this season and he leads all of D1, averaging 3.53 goals per game. Although it has been a great run for Rutgers, we predict that the more experienced team will win on Saturday with Cornell advancing to the Championship.
Maryland Men’s Lacrosse vs. Princeton Men’s Lacrosse money line prediction: Princeton +5.5 (+105)
Maryland enters Saturday’s semifinal as the #1 overall seed in the tournament, thanks to a perfect 16-0 record this year. They have dominated the NCAA, and only four of their games have been decided by fewer than six goals. They dominated Virginia for the second time this season in the quarterfinal (18-9) and are making their 28th Final Four appearance.
Head coach John Tillman has led Maryland to the NCAA Final Four for the ninth time in 11 tournaments since taking charge in 2011, but they have won the Championship just once and fell short in the final last year.
Princeton enters the semifinal with an 11-4 record, collecting losses against Maryland, Yale, Harvard and Cornell. However, each of those four losses came by fewer than six goals, and they haven’t been blown out this year. The Tigers avenged their regular-season loss to Yale in the quarterfinal and went on a 7-0 run to propel them to a 14-10 win last weekend.

It will be the 11th appearance in the Final Four for Princeton, and for the third time in three NCAA games, they will get a rematch against a team they faced in the regular season. Maryland won 15-10 over Princeton in the regular season, but the Tigers didn’t have their top two face-off players in Tyler Sandoval and Koby Ginder. They should make an immediate impact on Saturday and help an attack that scored 15.37 goals per game (5th in NCAA) compared to Maryland’s 18.50 (1st in NCAA).
