Reviewing the seasons 1967, 68, and 69, Sporting Cristal had Waldir Pereira, popularly known as Didí, as their coach. Didí, a former football player, was able to become a World Cup champion with Brazil in the 1958 and 1962 editions, and even shared the dressing room with the great Pelé.
