This match will serve as preparation for the playoffs that each team will play. Peru is awaiting the opponent that will come from the winner between Australia and the United Arab Emirates, while NZ will face Costa Rica.
From the New Zealand side, the coach highlighted this confrontation, as it will be very useful to face Costa Rica a few days later. They are also in negotiations to close a second friendly match.
Meanwhile, this friendly match will be the last for the Peru national team, as a week later they will face the representative of Asia scheduled for June 13th in Doha.
