Everything seemed calm for the visitors, however, well into the second half, the excitement of a goal returned. In the 72nd minute, Canadian Jonathan David scored the second goal for the French team and 6 minutes later, 21-year-old Englishman Angel Gomes added the third goal.

The victory was ready and served for Lille, however, in the 89th minute, Swiss player Renato Steffen reduced the deficit, but it was not enough for the Germans who finished in fourth place in their group and were eliminated from all European competition.
