In the last 11 years, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have shared the votes on who is the best in the world, a debate that also involves the former glories of 'the beautiful game', such as Frank Lampard.
The former midfielder, who established himself as one of the greatest in the history of Chelsea and the English national team, confessed in an interview with Gary Neville on the 'The Overlap' show about his favorite.
Lampard, an authoritative voice to talk about the topic after facing both stars during his time as a player, believed that 'the flea' was at the top, however, nowadays he has started to lean towards the Portuguese striker.
"You know what? I have always been a Messi man. However, I saw your debate with 'Carra' (Jamie Carragher) recently, and now I think that, considering Ronaldo's production, his numbers and goals in big finals and semifinals, and what we have seen, I think I could give him the advantage now," said the former Chelsea manager.
'CR7' has become a decisive piece for Manchester United to qualify for the Champions League round of 16 with 6 goals in 5 matches. Likewise, the 'Portuguese' player has scored 4 goals in 10 games in the Premier League.
On the other hand, 'Leo' is struggling to adapt to PSG and this has been reflected in his goal tally. In the European tournament, the Argentine has scored 3 goals in 4 matches, while in Ligue 1 he has scored 1 goal in 7 games.
