The interim coach of the Venezuelan National Team, Leonardo González, referred to the absence of some players who play abroad and have not been in his squad in the last matches of the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers, ensuring that being called up is for them to come and defend their country's shirt.
However, the Vinotinto strategist mentioned that this match has allowed him to have several footballers who, perhaps, did not have many chances in other games.
"Here, being in the national team must be a pride for everyone. In these eight matches, all the players who maybe had not been taken into account in other processes and today they were somehow taken into account, each one who came could contribute. The players must continue working, keep believing, keep excited, and with a lot of commitment to come and represent the National Team," he said in a press conference.
