Márquez scolded Messi for his low performance in training
While the 'flea', with his talent and goals, became the institution's greatest idol, the former Mexican center-back revealed an anecdote in which he had a confrontation with the 'flea' due to Messi's poor performance in training.

On the other hand, when asked about the coach who influenced him the most throughout his career, the Mexican highlighted Manchester City's current manager over the others.
"I had very good coaches, from Ricardo La Volpe, Deschamps, Guardiola... It's difficult, but if I had to choose one, it would be Guardiola. He is a perfectionist, I love how he sets up games and his day-to-day work."
