Juventus beat Bologna 4-1 this Sunday and qualified for the next Champions League.

Andrea Pirlo

Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo assured on Sunday, after qualifying the team for the next Champions League on the final day of the Italian Serie A, that he sees himself "staying" in Turin for many years.

"I think I did my job 100%, trying to give my best. I added two trophies to our record (the Italian Super Cup and the Coppa Italia) and qualification for the next Champions League is a boost," Pirlo said after the 4-1 win against Bologna, in statements to "Sky Sport".

When asked if he sees himself staying in Turin, Pirlo said: "Of course, I see myself sitting on the Juventus bench. I started a path and I hope to continue it. I have one year left on my contract and I want to stay for many years."

Juventus finished the season in fourth place and, in the process, secured qualification for the next Champions League, thanks to their victory against Bologna and Napoli's stumble at home against Verona.

They did so with Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench for the full ninety minutes, by technical decision.

"Yes (there is a Juventus without Cristiano). Cristiano was absent this year due to coronavirus or other reasons, and we have a competitive squad. Today, he didn't play and (Spanish forward) Morata played, who is an international Spanish player. It's not a problem, I always played whoever gave me more guarantees," he said. EFE
