The Milan advances to the round of 16 of the Europa League

Milan capitalized on the first leg scoreline and reached the round of 16 of the Europa League after a 1-1 draw with Red Star at the Giusseppe Meazza.

The 2-2 draw in the first leg allowed Stefano Pioli's team to survive, taking the lead at eight minutes with the penalty converted by Ivorian player Frank Kessie.

However, the Serbian team equalized before the half-hour mark through Comoran player El Fardou Ben and opened up the tie.
