Rivaldo believes Messi will leave Barcelona after PSG defeat
The former Barcelona player, Brazilian Rivaldo, has no doubts that Messi will leave the Blaugrana team after the 4-1 defeat against PSG in the Champions League at Camp Nou.
"This defeat against PSG will most likely be Messi's last match in the Champions League with Barcelona at Camp Nou," Rivaldo said, according to Sport newspaper.
"Barcelona cannot offer Messi the real possibility to fight for any important title. His future will be at PSG, especially after his display at Camp Nou. It is a team that can give him the opportunity to keep winning titles," he added.
About the series against the Parisian club (the second leg will be played in France in March), he analyzed: "There is not a single player in the squad who believes in the comeback. It is impossible to turn it around."
"Messi is over thirty years old and still taking responsibility for the team. And to make matters worse, this season he has seen his best partner, Luis Suarez, leave in an incomprehensible sale that has made Atletico Madrid stronger than ever," he concluded.
