No more. Reinaldo Rueda will no longer continue as the coach of the Chilean National Team after two years in the position. The federation announced this and is now looking for a new coach to continue the qualifying process for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
"The Chilean Football Federation announces that coach Reinaldo Rueda has reached an agreement to no longer lead the Chilean national team," the institution of the southern country stated in a statement on their social media.
Likewise, in Chile, they highlighted "the dedication, work, and commitment" of the Colombian coach. Rueda, 63 years old, took over the senior team in 2018 and his greatest achievement was the fourth place obtained by the team in the Copa America Brazil 2019.
Aiming for Colombia
The Colombian Football Federation (FCF) has Reinaldo Rueda in their sights as a candidate to replace Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz, who was dismissed last December after the defeats against Uruguay and Ecuador in the previous round of the qualifiers.
