With a goal by Felipe Caicedo nine minutes before the end, Lazio saved the draw (1-1) in their visit to Zenit in St. Petersburg, Russia, this Wednesday in the third matchday of Group F of the Champions League.

Aleksandr Erokhin scored for the home team in the 32nd minute and Ecuadorian Caicedo achieved parity for the Roman squad in the 81st minute.

Caicedo, just like last Sunday against Torino in the sixth matchday of the Italian Serie A, came off the bench in the second half (53 min) and finished first, low, with his left foot for the definitive 1-1

With this draw, Lazio is provisionally placed at the top of the group with 5 points, one more than Brujas and two more than Borussia Dortmund, who will face each other later (15:00 from Ecuador) in Belgium. (D)
