Coach Pellegrini satisfied despite Real Betis' defeat to Real Madrid
Chilean coach Manuel Pellegrini expressed his satisfaction with his team's performance against Real Madrid, despite the 2-3 defeat. However, he was highly critical of the refereeing at Benito Villamarín.
The Betis coach mentioned that although he had not yet "seen the plays, it seems there was an offside by Borja Mayoral before the penalty" and emphasized that "these are game-changing actions".
Pellegrini considered that "it is difficult" to face "some decisions, today justice favored Madrid", but he preferred to focus on what Real Betis had done until they played eleven against eleven.
"Even Benzema was offside in the 2-2 play," stated Pellegrini, who complained that although he "likes VAR, it always goes against him".
"Playing against Real Madrid, VAR, penalty, and expulsion is very difficult. This time all the justice went to Real Madrid," added the Chilean.
