"I don't know why players who have made history in Barcelona are always kicked out the back door. They might believe we are hindering them because we want to take over the presidency or something like that. I don't know what's wrong with them," he added.

"This board has ruined everything. It seems like they want to turn the fans against the players. I won four consecutive leagues, the club's first European Cup. I can't repay the affection of the fans, but this board has no shame. They pay journalists to add fuel to the fire. As a club, they are a disgrace," concluded the greatest player in Bulgarian football history.
