De Jong, Roberto, and Umtiti Drop Out of Barcelona's List to Travel to Seville
The midfielder Frenkie de Jong and the defender Sergi Roberto trained separately from the group and were not included in the squad list that FC Barcelona coach Quique Setién gave to face Sevilla FC on Friday at the Sánchez Pizjuán. De Jong is suffering from an overload in the calf of his right leg, and Sergi Roberto has a rib fracture.
Defender Samuel Umtiti was also not included in the lineup after receiving a yellow card in the previous match against Leganés.
In their place, Jordi Alba, who has served his suspension, and Barcelona B players Juan Brandariz 'Chumi' and Kike Severio have been called up.
The 23 players called up by Setién to face Sevilla are: Ter Stegen, Neto, Iñaki Peña, Semedo, Piqué, Lenglet, Araujo, Saverio, Junior, Jordi Alba, Chumi, Rakitic, Arthur, Arturo Vidal, Riqui Puig, Monchu, Sergio Busquets, Luis Suárez, Messi, Griezmann, Barithwaite, Ansu Fati, and Collado.
