Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic has once again made it clear that he intends to stay at Barcelona. He also stated that he will fulfill his contract with the Spanish team, which expires on June 30, 2021.
"I don't have to think about other things. I have trained well these days, I feel good and I am convinced that I will still be at Barcelona for a while", Rakitic said to the Croatian portal Tportal.
"This means winning many more trophies with Barcelona", added the 32-year-old midfielder who has lost prominence at Barcelona in the last season.
Rakitic also pointed out that his family is comfortable in the Catalan city and that he is ready for the restart of LaLiga. "To be prepared from day one if we want to win the title. It is difficult, even and all matches will be difficult."
In addition, due to the coronavirus pandemic, he predicted that "nothing will be the same", and especially made it clear that he will miss the presence of the fans, since "it won't be the same to play in the stadium with the stands full of fans, having their support", as it will be without them.
Rakitic has been playing for Barcelona since the 2014-2015 season. During this period, he has won the Champions League once and LaLiga four times, among other competitions.
