Fabio Capello, former coach of Real Madrid among others, confessed on Tuesday that the Brazilian Ronaldo Nazario was the "greatest talent" he ever coached and at the same time the one who "caused him the most problems in the dressing room".
Capello, who coached Ronaldo in the first part of the 2006-2007 season at Real Madrid and has a strong friendship with him, shared anecdotes about his experience with the former Brazilian forward during those months.
"The greatest talent I coached is Ronaldo, the 'Gordo', as we say. And at the same time, he was the one who caused me the most problems in the dressing room. He would have parties, you name it. Once (Dutch player Ruud) Van Nistelrooy told me 'coach, but it smells like alcohol in the dressing room'", confessed Capello on the Italian private television channel "Sky Sport".
"Then when Ronaldo left (to Milan, in January 2007), we started winning, but if we talk about talent, he was the greatest, without a doubt," added the Italian coach, who won two La Liga titles in his two stints at Real Madrid, in 1997 and 2007.
Capello also said that he sees Ronaldo "often" throughout the year and that they usually have enjoyable conversations. EFE
