The Brazilian Reinier Jesus, the new jewel of Real Madrid, will have to wait a bit longer for his long-awaited debut with the Merengue shirt in LaLiga. Signed in February, the 18-year-old player has already made appearances with Castilla, the subsidiary team of La Casa Blanca, where he has scored 2 goals in just 3 matches.

However, the idea of finishing the season in the Segunda B seems almost impossible due to the coronavirus pandemic. The promotion championship has been canceled and without official competitions, the management has decided to find him a team in the First Division to play for the next season and accumulate his first minutes in Spain.

Reinier has only played 15 matches in the Brazilian league and in the Copa Libertadores with Flamengo, and 16 matches with the Brazilian national team's youth categories in the past year, so his development as a professional player is just beginning.

Florentino Pérez doesn't want to rush a player for whom he has paid 30 million euros and has a contract until 2027, so they are evaluating which club he could play for in the 2020-2021 season.

This operation is happening at the right time, as the spots for non-EU players are filled: his compatriots Vinicius, Rodrygo, and Eder Militao are the ones with foreign passports, an administrative situation that also forces him to wait.
