Cesc Fábregas, midfielder of Monaco, dismissed the idea that his close friend, Argentinean Lionel Messi, is considering leaving Barcelona at the end of the season due to problems with the board, and he assured that Messi's "idea has always been to finish his career" in the team where he has played his whole life.

"I talk to Messi, his idea has always been to finish his career at Barcelona, then a thousand things can happen at the club, but I am fully confident that he will finish his career at Barcelona," said Cesc in an interview with Cadena Cope.

Furthermore, the former Barza player praised Frenchman Kylian Mbappé. "Cristiano [Ronaldo] is 35 and Leo is going to be 33, they are older. For youth, talent, desire, and mentality, I would sign Mbappé. For having him at his peak for ten years in my team, I would go for him. Then there are players like Neymar or [Erling] Haaland who are on the rise, but in terms of talent, the goal he has, and his speed, Mbappé is a player who reminds me of Henry. I used to watch him from behind and it was a joy when you gave him a long pass into space," he said.

The player is experiencing the distance contagion of his great-grandmother from coronavirus at 95 years old. "She is fine, stable, and in good spirits. Despite being 95 years old, she is reacting well. She is still in the residence because at this age, very few are allowed in hospitals," said Fábregas. (With information from EFE)
