The crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic hits hard and another of the affected clubs is Itauguá's 12 de Octubre.

The experienced defender Herminio Miranda, one of the team leaders, spoke this Saturday with Fútbol a lo Grande on Radio Monumental 1080 AM and expressed his concern about the situation.

Miranda commented that the club owes the players and coaching staff one month's salary, while some employees of the institution are owed two months.

"There was a promise that they would fulfill their obligations to us during Easter week and that did not happen. We are waiting, there is no news at the moment, hopefully they resolve it and fulfill their promises," said Herminio.

"It is a difficult situation, we hope that the president takes action and can resolve this quickly," he added.

THE PRESIDENT'S RESPONSE. On the other hand, Édgar Monges, the head of the Itauguá club, spoke with the same radio station and stated: "Due to administrative issues, the payment of their salaries is slower, only for that reason, but I believe that between Monday or Tuesday it can be resolved."

On March 13, the Paraguayan Football Association decided to suspend the Apertura Championship of the First Division, the Training Divisions, Beach Soccer, and FIFA Futsal, in both male and female categories, for as long as the prevention measures adopted by the National Government last, initially until April 26.
