The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has decided to postpone all scheduled matches and competitions, including the Asian Champions League, "until further notice" due to the coronavirus pandemic, the organization has reported.

This measure follows the previous suspension of all matches during the months of March and April, leaving fewer and fewer available dates to complete the competition. As a second action, May and June had been set for resumption, but now the Champions League will not be played until at least July.

"This latest decision reinforces the AFC's commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of players, participating teams, officials, fans, and supporters," the entity said in a statement.

Al Hilal, where Peruvian forward André Carrillo plays, is the current champion of the tournament, which earned them a place in the previous Club World Cup. So far, two out of the six group stage matchdays have been completed, with the final dates originally scheduled for the end of May.

In the 2020 edition, André Carrillo has been involved in three goals for his team. He scored in the victory against Iran's Shahr Khodrou and provided two assists.
