At the beginning of 2020, Alexander Lecaros made the big leap to Botafogo, a big club in Brazil. The Peruvian shows his joy for sharing the dressing room with the Japanese Keisuke Honda, whom he watched on television as a child and now fulfills his dream of playing alongside the Japanese midfielder.
"The truth is that it never crossed my mind that Honda could arrive. He speaks a little Spanish because he played in Mexico. The times we talk, it's about each other's personal life, not about football. But when we are on the field and on the same team, he tells me to pass it to him and run into space because he has very good technique," he commented.
"He can shoot with both feet. I am impressed to meet people with names, who have played in World Cups, although it is becoming normal to me. Surely other players with the same or even more name will come, and it will be the same," said 20-year-old Lecaros.
